Andrew Hooke and Angus Braham founded Led By Reason to back ambitious businesses and the people building them.
Their experience spans business leadership, consulting and executive search across the UK, Europe, the US and Asia.
Both bring extensive non-executive board experience, independent judgement and practical support for founders.
Beyond business, Andrew and Angus are committed philanthropists, supporting charities and the arts. Giving back is an important part of their lives.
OUR FOUNDERS
Andrew Hooke — Co-founder
Andrew’s career spans consulting leadership, investment and charitable governance. At PA Consulting, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Consulting, and led its US business.
He was involved in Carlyle’s investment in PA in 2015 and the transaction with Jacobs in 2021, bringing direct experience of growth and changes in ownership.
Alongside his commercial and non-executive board experience, Andrew has served as a trustee and chairman of Scope, the disability equality charity.
At Led By Reason, Andrew helps founders think through growth, organisational change and the long-term direction of their businesses, drawing on commercial leadership and investment experience.
Angus Braham — Co-founder
Angus is an entrepreneur and adviser who has built several companies of his own and advised many of today’s leading commodity traders.
His background spans executive search and international leadership development. Starting in high-tech recruitment, he went on to develop global client relationships and international recruitment strategies within a major FTSE 100 recruitment company.
He has worked with international FTSE 100 leadership teams and founders making the transition to CEO, alongside extensive non-executive board experience.
At Led By Reason, Angus brings the perspective of someone who has built businesses himself. He helps founders think through the people, leadership and relationships their companies need to grow.
